Small Group Classes

What to Expect

Whether you are a new or developing Weightlifter, we’ll help you learn to lift with efficient technique suited to your body. In each class, we help you improve your technique and develop great strength and power so you can become a better athlete and Weightlifter. You will be paired with a coach in a small group class with a 1:4 coach to student ratio, and you will learn to refine your style through various techniques and movements. As a member, you are welcome to join into any Barbell Club, Strength and Conditioning, and Weightlifting Technique class! Read more about each class below.

Barbell Club

Barbell Club is a small group class with custom-designed programming for every member. We aim to build strength and good technique in the Snatch and Clean-and-Jerk.

We coach and support each athlete through their individual development with our coach-to-athlete ratio of 1-to-4. We build camaraderie and accountability by training together as a small friendly team.

Weightlifting Technique

In our Weightlifting Technique class, we teach quality movement for the snatch, clean, and jerk and we use corrective exercises and positions to anticipate the technical errors that ALL beginners experience.

By improving your positions and moving the barbell and your body correctly, you can become technically proficient and improve as a weightlifter, and as an athlete.

The class work will be progressive, covering exercises from a top down and bottom up approach, every class we will alternate what exercises we work on so that you have an even amount of practice with each lift. If you need to improve your technique, this class is for you.

Strength & Conditioning

This class is for people who want to get stronger, increase power, and improve athleticism using all the major barbell lifts including the Squat, Press, Deadlift, Snatch and Clean and Jerk.

We will emphasize non-barbell lifts too. This is NOT an Olympic lifting or Powerlifting specific class but a Strength and Conditioning class for you to simply get stronger and become a better-conditioned athlete.

The class work will be dynamic in nature, using movements on various planes of motion, every class we will alternate what exercises we are working on so that your training stays fresh and you continue to improve.
